The best beaches in Marbella
What are the best beaches in Marbella? A question we are asked a lot. Marbella actually stretches east to west along 30km of beach so there are so many to choose from. Seeing the wood from the trees (or the seashells from the rocks in this instance) could be a challenge. To help you out, here a couple of the best beaches in Marbella we think are worth a look at.
Cabopino Beach is the top rated on Trip Advisor (and number 8 of 77 things to do!) and for good reason. It’s 1500m long and borders the Cabopino port on the one side and the protected Artola sand dunes on the other. There is parking available if you’ve rented a car, but there are also frequent buses from Marbella centre.
The water is clear and shallow, making it a popular option for families with young children, and you can rent loungers and parasols. There are some boats moored up so there’s luxury yachts to look at and also boat trips close by such as dolphin spotting excursions. There is a range of food and drink available, but widely mentioned and recommended is Andy’s Beach Bar, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner with a Mediterranean flavour and an amazing view.

Playa de la Fontanilla is a more central Marbella beach and as a result is busier, but has a wide range of things to do and see.
You can take a stroll along the promenade when you get there to get the best spot, there are parasols, loungers and even hammocks to rent, and you are within walking distance from all of the eating and drinking facilities of the city centre. Also close by is Parque de la Constitución; a garden park with an amphitheatre with concerts and plays, an observatory and a playground for the kids.
For some other recommendations for the best beaches in Marbella check out Senda Litoral Dunas de Artola, Playa de la Levante and Venus-Bajadilla Beach. Some also have water sports and boat trips, but throughout you’ll find clean water, safe water and a range of rental facilities and activities to make for a great day at the beach.
