Southern Spain is a leading destination when it comes to golf, with the area boosting over 100 different golf courses. Marbella is one of the sport’s key areas, and is well known for it’s stunning mountain and sea views from many of the golf courses near Marbella. Next to the Mediterranean Sea, the Villa Padierna Golf Resort has a beautiful atmosphere alongside  state of the art facilities and a famous level of customer service. The resort has three different courses with a range of different features: Flamingos Golf, Alferini Golf and Tramores Golf.  In addition there is the only specialist school in Europe in the short game and private classes – the Villa Padierna Michael Campbell Golf Academy.

The Marbella Club Golf Resort has a simple but attractive design and this 18 hole golf course near Marbella was designed by Dave Thomas. It is based amongst the hills of Benahavis in the centre of the Costa del Sol, and has stunning views of Gibraltar and the Coast of Africa, as well as the Mediterranean Sea.  It maintains an intimate and relaxed feel with limited play and twelve minutes between tee times.

Based in between La Cala de Mijas and Fuengirola, Santana Golf Course and Country Club is literally right next door to the Mediterranean as well as breathtaking views of the local mountains. The course is made up of 138 acres of picturesque parkland and was previously an avocado plantation. It was designed by the architect Cabell B. Robinson to fit in with the local environment, and who aimed to provide a natural solution to any problems. The result is wide fairways on a pleasant to walk terrain with views complimented by water features.

15 kilometres from Marbella is Calanova Golf Club; an 18-hole course that is 5.866 metres long and built according to USGA regulations. It includes also includes amazing views of the Mediterranean Sea and Mijas Mountains at practically every hole.
