Marbella has 30 km of coast line to it’s name and as a result, there is something for everyone.  There are busy beaches with beach bars and close by entertainment, or there are beaches that are a bit more secluded and sheltered for those that prefer the peace.  Here are a selection of some of the best beaches around Marbella in you’re on holiday in the area.

Cabopino Beach is a popular option for families with young children, with clear, shallow water.  You can rent parasols and loungers, meaning you have more hands to carry the obligatory buckets and spades.  There are a number of boats in the area so you can take a look at the yachts or even book a trip yourself, where you can take a look at the local dolphins.  This beach is 1500m long, there is parking available but if you’re looking to enjoy a cold beer or sangria while you’re there in one of the nearby beach bars, there are also regular buses from the centre of Marbella.  One of the most recommended beach bars is Andy’s Beach Bar, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as cold drinks.  The food is varied and so you’re bound to find something for the fussiest eater, but with a Mediterranean flavour for a Spanish feel for a trip to the beach.

If you’re looking for something a bit busier with a bit more to see and do, Playa de la Fontanilla is a central Marbella beach where you can take a walk along the promenade.  You are also very close to the attractions of the centre of Marbella itself.  That includes a greater variety of restaurants, bars and cafes.  Also close by is Parque de la Constitución; a garden park with an amphitheatre with concerts and plays, an observatory and a playground for the kids.  Again, you can rent parasols and loungers, and there are even hammocks you can rent.
